About Our Owner - Kandy Thomas
Kandy has always had a deep heart felt love for all animals since early childhood. This love brought with it an incredible ability to understand the animals she encounters. Kandy has worked intensely with dogs and cats and she has studied the interaction they have with humans. She has spent countless hours studying animal and human behavior and has developed training techniques that work. There is a natural connection that is generally established immediately between her and most animals. They trust her. Most importantly, she loves the animals and they love her, and she knows how to work with them.
Kandy managed a local veterinary clinic where she was the lead technician. Her experience in veterinary nursing care is invaluable. Kandy is able to offer nursing services such as wound care, administration of fluids (IV and subcutaneous) and medicines. She is able to tell if something is wrong or if an animal is sick. She also has experience in nutrition & other health issues.
Having a strong background in Psychology has allowed Kandy to work extremely well with people. This includes children of all ages.
Her patience and understanding gives them the confidence to train their own dogs while having a lot of fun doing it!
